Crime: Shopping in Zurich’s toy store Franz Carl Weber
Bahnhofstrasse 62, 8001 Zurich (no longer exists)
Prosecutor:
Anything else you want to say? Accused: Did she mention how many times I allegedly showed up at her workplace? Prosecutor: Yes, it should have been two or three times. Accused: Over a time period of about a month. I have the right to enter a shopping center, where she happens to work. I didn’t harass her, I didn’t insult her and I didn’t even speak to her. Prosecutor: So what were you doing in that shopping center? Accused: What a regular customer does, I bought something and left again. |

Victim:
I can’t remember the dates, but it was certainly quiet for some time. No SMS (abbreviation text message), no e-ail came and no visits. I hope I am saying this correctly, it was on a Thursday, possibly November 22, 2012, our store was open for night shopping, then he entered FCW (abbreviation of shop’s name) and I fled. I did not have the strength to stay there and tell him to leave me alone. That is theory, but it won’t work in real life. I only said: “That is not acceptable”. That slipped out of my mouth. Then I walked away. I wanted to get help, to finally bar him from the store. Prosecutor: What then? Victim: It was again too late. We were so busy there, by the time you found someone, he had already left again. Prosecutor: So no other employee saw him. |
Victim:
No, until then it was quiet. No visits, no SMS, mails or other. Simply quiet. On December 2, 2012 we had Sunday sale and he enter the store. It was around 17:00. I saw him from a distance and he might have not even seen me. Anyway I ran straight to my boss. The goal was to bar him from the store. But he was already gone again. I spent the last hour of my shift in fear. I kept worrying that my colleagues might forget me and nobody would accompany me to the station. I was again full of fear. It happened so quickly. |
