THE REASONABLE POLICE FORCE
Prosecutor:
Did you want to press charges ? Victim: If I could have i would have, but the policeman thought it was still too early, the man felt let down by a great woman. Prosecutor: What was the policeman’s name? Victim: I don’t remember. He thought we should wait and if ex-boyfriend comes to close she can call police emergency (No.117). The cop also told me to give him time until the weekend, to return the house key. If I didn’t get the key by the weekend, I should approach the police again. They would put up pressure and demand the return of the key. Prosecutor: Did you make it clear that you wanted to press charges? Victim: I went to the police crying, explained my situation, but the cop thought we must first wait. I wanted to say something else, if i have forgot it now. Prosecutor: What happened after that? Victim: The cop told me to wait. He had he doubts that my ex-boyfriend would do me any harm. His pride is now tarnished, that is all. He also gave me advice how I should behave, so I don’t broadcast myself as a victim. |
